First prize: your band will be hired to perform a 45 minute show from the main stage at FiddleFest 2009 on Friday, July 24. You'll also receive 25, two-day all access passes to FiddleFest 2009 (value $1250!) for your family & friends, and "FiddleFest Radio" on 106.1 The Bull will feature your group on one of our upcoming shows, including band interviews, playing your music, and promoting your upcoming performances. Concert payment for FiddleFest 2009 is $500, and is paid at the event in July following your performance.
Second and Third prizes: bands will be hired to play a 30 minute show on either Friday, July 24th, or Saturday, July 25th for the FiddleFest afternoon "Mini-Concert" series. These shows are complete sell-outs, and you'll be sharing the stage with some of the brightest stars in bluegrass & old time music today. In addition, each second & third place band will receive 12 two-day all access passes to FiddleFest 2009 (each ticket package valued at $600) for family & friends, and should you have recorded product, will be featured on a special "FiddleFest Radio" broadcast prior to the festival event in July. Concert payment is $250 per band, paid at the event in July, following your performances.
All participants: Bands, please also note that promoters and special events coordinators from local festivals, concert halls, restaurants, and nightclubs will be in attendance to check you out, so you have an opportunity to put your best foot forward and get yourself hired for those most coveted "paying gigs".

There is
no entry fee for bands playing on stage, however all others must purchase a ticket at the door or in advance. Check out the ticket section below for more information. Bands will play 30 minute shows, starting at noon until 6 PM, which of course means that there are 12 slots, so space is limited, and it will be pretty much first come, first picks, so to speak.
Register now to reserve your space!. To be fair, there will be an even number of slots for both Bluegrass and Old Time, and FiddleFest reserves the right to choose more or less from each genre

The evening will end on Saturday with a concert performance by The Jeanette Williams Band and Sandy Ridge. Food and drinks will be available on site at the hotel.
